Cookie Policy
For: RefrigeratorHoustonRepair.com · Last Updated: June 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how RefrigeratorHoustonRepair.com uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit our website. It describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and your options for controlling them.
1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files placed on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to website owners.
Cookies can be “session cookies” (deleted when you close your browser) or “persistent cookies” (stored on your device until they expire or you delete them). They can be set by us (“first-party cookies”) or by third-party services we use (“third-party cookies”).
2. Cookies We Use
We use two categories of cookies on this website:
Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are required for the website to function and cannot be disabled. They include:
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| sb-access-token | Supabase | Stores your authentication session so you remain logged in | 1 hour |
| sb-refresh-token | Supabase | Allows silent token renewal without requiring re-login | 60 days |
Analytics Cookies
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. All data is collected anonymously and aggregated.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics (GA4) | Distinguishes unique visitors and tracks sessions | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics (GA4) | Maintains session state for GA4 measurement | 2 years |
3. Supabase Authentication Cookies
We use Supabase as our backend platform for technician accounts and the admin dashboard. When a technician or administrator logs in, Supabase sets authentication cookies to maintain a secure session.
These cookies are strictly necessary — without them, logged-in users would be signed out on every page load. They do not track browsing behavior and contain only an encrypted session token.
If you are a regular visitor (not a technician or admin), these cookies are not set on your device unless you explicitly log in.
For more information, see Supabase's Privacy Policy.
4. Google Analytics (GA4)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with our website. GA4 collects anonymized data such as:
- Pages visited and time spent on each page
- General geographic location (country/city level)
- Device type and browser
- Traffic source (how you arrived at our site)
- Events such as form submissions and phone number clicks
Google Analytics does not collect your name, email address, or any information that directly identifies you. IP addresses are anonymized before storage.
The data collected is used solely to improve our website content and user experience. We do not use Google Analytics data for advertising targeting.
For more information, see Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
5. How to Control Cookies
You have several options to control or limit how cookies are used:
Browser Settings
Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. Here are links to cookie management instructions for common browsers:
Please note: disabling strictly necessary cookies (Supabase auth cookies) will prevent you from logging into the technician dashboard or admin panel.
Google Analytics Opt-Out
To prevent Google Analytics from collecting data about your visits across all websites, install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Do Not Track
Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. We respect DNT signals where technically feasible. Note that Google Analytics may not respond to DNT signals by default.
6. Cookies We Do Not Use
We do not use cookies for:
- Advertising or ad targeting
- Retargeting or remarketing campaigns
- Social media tracking pixels (Facebook Pixel, etc.)
- Selling data to third parties
- Fingerprinting or cross-site tracking
7. Changes to This Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in technology, law, or our data practices. Any updates will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
